It has all the necessary theory, lots of practice, and projects of different levels. How long does it take to complete it?

We estimate that this program can be completed in about eight months. However, we understand that each learner's pace may vary. Most learners are expected to dedicate 5-10 hours per week to their studies. If you need more or less time to master the material, feel free to proceed at your own pace. To accommodate this, we’ve added an extra month to the program duration!

What’s the difference between the Java Backend Developer course on Hyperskill and this program? Will we learn any new content here?

This program is based on our existing content, but we’ve curated and structured it into a guided path designed to be the optimal way to start your career. You’ll also work on a chosen set of projects and topics alongside your teammates in a synchronized manner with mentor guidance. Additionally, we might be preparing some new content for Java developers, and you’ll be the first to experience it!

What’s included in mentor support?

Coding can be challenging, and while we encourage self-paced learning and problem-solving skills, sometimes you might need a bit of extra help. Our mentor will regularly assist you and your fellow group members in overcoming difficulties, whether it’s finding an error in your project’s code or providing advice on complex topics. Additionally, our moderators and Java content team members will be ready to support you. You’ll stay connected through a dedicated Discord channel!

Will there be any webinars or other events?

No, we won’t be holding webinars or live events. Our learners come from different parts of the world, so it’s challenging to find a time that works for everyone. Instead, we’ll use chat for asynchronous communication. However, feel free to connect with peers in the same time zones and team up!

Will I receive a certificate upon completion?

Yes, upon successful completion of this program, you will receive a certificate from Hyperskill. You will receive a certificate of completion for the program as well as for the individual courses within it. You can easily add these certificates to your LinkedIn profile to showcase your accomplishments to the professional world.
