Best AI Engineering Bootcamps for Working Developers (2026)
You already write code for a living and want to build LLM apps, RAG systems and agents that hold up in production. This page compares live AI engineering programs made for people like you, not for career changers starting from zero.
We run one of these programs, the Hyperskill AI Engineer Bootcamp, so read this with that in mind. Every number below comes from each program's own page, checked on October 21, 2026. Prices and dates change, so check the program page before you pay.
How we picked
A program made the list if it:
- runs live sessions with instructors, not only recorded videos
- is built for people who already program
- covers building LLM applications: RAG, agents, evaluation, deployment

The programs
Hyperskill AI Engineer Bootcamp
10 weeks, 10–12 hours a week, for developers, tech leads and architects. No ML background needed, basic Python recommended. There's one live session a week (about 2 hours), and you can book 1:1 calls with an AI engineer when you're stuck. Every module ends in a hands-on project: you start by writing an agent from scratch without frameworks, then build a pull request review agent, a RAG system with Qdrant, an evaluation pipeline with Langfuse and Ragas, and deploy it with FastAPI and Docker on AWS. Projects are checked by autotests, and GitHub projects get a review from an instructor. Deadlines are soft, with a shorter core track if you fall behind. It ends with a graduation project at Demo Day and a career module with CV review and a mock interview. OpenAI credits are included. Full refund until the end of the first week. More than 100 engineers have graduated since 2025.
Fits you if you want one program that takes you from LLM basics to a deployed, monitored system, at a pace that fits a full-time job.
SwirlAI End-to-End AI Engineering Bootcamp
Run by Aurimas Griciunas on Maven. 8 weeks, $2,200, 10–12 hours a week. Covers RAG, agents, MCP and A2A, LLMOps, evals in CI/CD and deployment with Docker, FastAPI and Kubernetes, ending with a Demo Day. Includes $500 in Modal credits. Rated 4.9 from 115 reviews on Maven. Needs intermediate Python.
Fits you if you want a format very close to ours with a bit more infrastructure (Kubernetes, CI/CD evals) and a shorter run.
AI Makerspace AI Engineering Bootcamp
One of the best-known live AI engineering cohorts, on Maven. 6 weeks, $3,000 plus roughly $100–200 of your own compute. 10 projects, Demo Day, certificate. Rated 4.8 from 127 reviews. They say it's not for people who want low-code.
Fits you if you can give it 10+ hours a week for a short, intense run.
AI Evals for Engineers & PMs
Hamel Husain and Shreya Shankar's course, the largest on Maven in this space: 4.7 from 1,040 reviews, over 5,000 engineers and PMs taught. It covers one thing in depth: evaluating LLM systems. $4,200, 3–5 hours a week. They say it isn't for people new to LLMs.
Fits you if you already ship LLM features and your problem is measuring quality. It works well after a broader bootcamp.
Building Agentic AI Applications with a Problem-First Approach
Aishwarya Reganti and Kiriti Badam on Maven. About 5 weeks, $3,000, 5–8 hours a week, with low-code and code tracks. Rated 4.8 from 754 reviews. The audience is wider than engineers: architects, PMs and business people too. They say it's not a certification program.
Fits you if you design agent products and want the system design side more than a deep build.
Codebasics Live AI Engineering Bootcamp
The cheapest live option here: $840 for 11 weeks of weekend sessions (4–7 PM IST), for software engineers with 2+ years of experience. The syllabus is very wide, from RAG and agents to LoRA, vLLM and voice AI. The current cohort started in August; the next one is waitlist only.
Fits you if budget comes first and Indian time zone weekends work for you.
Turing College AI Engineering
€3,500 (or 4 × €1,055), 3–4 months, about 10 hours a week. No live lectures: you learn at your own pace and get 1:1 project reviews. Needs a year of Python or JavaScript. 30-day refund. In Germany it can be paid with a Bildungsgutschein.
Fits you if your schedule doesn't allow fixed live sessions.
Codesmith AI & ML Technical Leadership
4 weeks, $4,595, live on weekday evenings and Saturdays. For experienced engineers, data scientists and tech leads: LLMs, RAG, fine-tuning, MLOps.
Fits you if you lead a team and want a short, senior-level program.
Data Science Dojo LLM Bootcamp
A 5-day, 40-hour intensive, in person in Seattle or live online. $3,499 early bird, then $3,999 (list $4,999). Rated 4.95 from 660+ reviews.
Fits you if you can take a full week off and prefer one intense block.
Fullstack Academy AI & Machine Learning Bootcamp
23 weeks, $4,995 upfront ($9,995 list), live three evenings a week. Covers classic ML plus generative AI and agents, and is built for people without an IT background.
Fits you if you want classic ML too and have half a year.
How to choose
- Live or self-paced? Live cohorts keep you on schedule and give you people to ask. Self-paced works if your calendar is unpredictable.
- How many hours do you really have? Most programs here ask for 5–12 hours a week. A 6-week program at 10+ hours is harder to fit around a full-time job than 10 weeks at the same pace.
- Broad or deep? A broad bootcamp takes you from LLM basics to a deployed system. A focused course (evals, agent design) goes deeper on one part and assumes you have the rest.
- Will anyone read your code? Ask whether projects get a review from an instructor, autotests, or only a pass/fail check.
- What do you have at the end? Projects on GitHub and a demo you can show in an interview matter more than a certificate.
Other options
Recorded courses such as DeepLearning.AI short courses and fast.ai are free or cheap and good for basics, but there's no cohort or feedback. Springboard, TripleTen and Le Wagon run 4–9 month programs aimed at people changing careers, a different product from the ones above.
